- Help you understand test reports from schools or other professionals, clarifying the meanings of specific terms, discuss patterns of results that may suggest a need for further assessment, suggest issues you may want to follow up on with the testing professional
- Suggest possible accommodations to add to your child's Individualized Education Program or Section 504 plan to help your child function better in school
- Suggest areas where you might either request that schools provide remediation or look for private remediation services
- Discuss IEP and 504 plans, and how they differ
- Explain the law as it pertains to your situation
- Suggest referrals to other professionals such as audiologists, neuropspychologists or attorneys as appropriate
- Help you organize the test results, reports, correspondence, and other records
